Fun Firetruck Night

On Monday night we went over to the Upper Dublin Township Building for a firetruck expo. There were TONS of firetrucks from all over the county there. We saw the ladders raised, a smoke house, sparky, some search dogs and lots of other fun stuff. The boys enjoyed sitting on the old firetruck and ringing the bell. We also got to see the jaws of life and how they rescue people from a car if they are trapped. We had a great time and can't wait to go back next year!!!

Bryce's 1st soccer game of 2010

Bryce played in his first game of the 2010 soccer season this weekend. He had a great game with about 6 goals. Just like the hot weather he was on fire and having a blast. At the same time Bryce was playing soccer, Chase was playing football with his new friend Gavin. They were also running all over and tackling each other. Both of the boys had a great Saturday afternoon.

ING Philly Half Marathon 2010

This past weekend Eric ran in the Philly ING Half Marathon. The weather was awesome and we all had a great day!! Eric ran it in 2 hours and 15 minutes. He was very pleased with himself. He is doing another one in 2 weeks in Hershey and then I think he is going to take a little break and see what other races he can find in the spring!!

The Dog Cage

We just put Peyton into a bigger dog cage. She loves having more room and the boys love playing in it. The other night I was on the phone and they locked themselves in the cage. I am not sure how they did it but they were having so much fun in there that they didn't care. Before I let them out I had to get a picture of it.

Bryce's first day of Kindergarten

Today was Bryce's first day of Kindergarten. He was sooooo excited to go. He was up extra early this morning, got dressed and ate breakfast in record time. I'm sure that won't last long. We were ready and out the door heading towards the bus and he had TONS of questions which I did not know the answers to. I told him not to worry and ask his teachers...needless to say he started biting his nails at that moment. When he saw the bus he had a big smile on his face, asked for his last kiss from Mommy and then headed onto the bus without looking back (after a picture of course). Chase was quite upset when he got on the bus and wanted him to come back and to follow the bus. Chase soon got over that when we had some one on one time with each other. After school Eric picked him up and he told us all about his day. He talked mostly about recess which he had a few of and lunch. We got little info on what he actually did but as time goes on I am sure we will get little bits and pieces. I am so glad he had a great day and I am so excited to see what he is going to learn about this year!!

all ready to go

Chase thought he was going as well...notice the back pack

West Point Weekend

This past weekend we went to West Point to visit The Foust's. We all had a great time visiting with family, checking out the area, watching the football game and getting to see our friend Casey Hughes who is a freshman there and also plays for the football team. I think our favorite part was seeing the parachuters...we thought that the first time we saw them was awesome and unusual but came to find out that by the end of our weekend we had seen them about 5-6 times. We can't wait to go up another time to visit again!!

Labor Day Weekend

We had a great Labor Day weekend. We spent the weekend with Mimi and Poppy. We usually go up to Penn State to have a picnic with Aunt Katie and her friends but decided to stay home this year...we missed seeing her but had fun doing tons of other things. We had a yummy dinner with Aunt Karen and Uncle Jack, 2 fire pits with yummy smores, played outside, went on a picnic at French Creek and went kayaking. By the time the long weekend was over we were all tired!!
